Special entertainment including strolling musicians, bands, buskers, and children's entertainment will be featured throughout Collingwood Downtown on both Saturday and Sunday.


SATURDAY OCTOBER 4TH, 2008

Collingwood Downtown Farmers' Market
This popular market features locally grown, hand-made, hand-crafted items from area residents. Because of the nature of the products being offered, there is no conflict with merchandise already available at downtown stores. The Market offers live entertainment, baked goods, and local produce grown by Collingwood area farmers. From strawberries to corn to apples, fresh produce is readily available at the market every Saturday morning from 8:30am until 1:00pm
During Doors Open Collingwood, visit the Downtown Farmers' Market Saturday morning at the corner of Pine and Second Streets.

SUNDAY OCTOBER 5TH, 2008

Bruce Trail Free Hike: 10am
Join the Bruce Trail Association on Sunday morning, September 30th, at 10am, for a memorable hike on the Bruce Trail at the top of Blue Mountain. Meet at the large parking lot at the corner of Scenic Caves Road and Swiss Meadows Blvd. The hike will follow a new section of trail across the top of the Blue Mountain ski slopes where there are magnificent views of the Village and Georgian Bay. Total distance: 6km. which, at an easy pace, will take approximately 2 hours.

Meet many of the Fishbowl's featured artists and explore their work.

The Bay School of Art (85 Hurontario Street, 2nd floor)
The Bay School of Art offers a variety of art classes for children, teens and adults. Visit Michelle Flemming and view creative pieces produced by her students in her beautifully renovated studio space.

Espresso Post (139 Hurontario Street)

Explore Espresso Post's current photographic exhibit featuring historic Collingwood. This exhibit is a joint fundraiser to benefit the Collingwood Museum and the Collingwood branch of the Architectural Conservancy of Ontario.

Magic of Children in the Arts (57A Hurontario Street, 2nd floor)

Bell Telephone Display (On the corner of Hurontario and Third Streets. In case of raink the display will be moved to an indoor locations)
Back by popular demand! Manfred Leimgardt will be returning to Doors Open Collingwood with his amazing collection of Bell Telephone memorabilia. Look for Mr. Leimgardt at the corner of Hurontario and Third Streets.
