All Saints Anglican Church and Rectory


32 Elgin Street, Collingwood
Architect: Hamilton and Ryley
Year built: 1858
Open Saturday October 4th from 10:00am to 4:00pm and Sunday October 5th from 12:00 noon to 4:00pm.

This beautifully Restored stone Gothic Church and Rectory are considered the finest of their kind north of Toronto. The Church, with over 150 years of Christian service to Collingwood, includes a wooden-beamed interior, bell tower, stained glass and local stone, which combine to create an architectural masterpiece.

Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 63


490 Ontario Street, Collingwood
Year built: 1971
Open Saturday October 4th and Sunday October 5th, 10:00am to 4:00pm

The Royal Canadian Legion has been a proud part of the Collingwood community since 1926. At its present location, the Legion's tank and plane stand as sentinels at the front of the building. Visitors are invited to explore the Legion's museum, where artifacts from the First and Second World Wars, as well as the Korean War, are on display.

The Collingwood Museum at The Station


45 St. Paul Street, Collingwood
Year Built: 1998
Open Saturday October 4th and Sunday October 5th, 10am - 4pm

The Collingwood Museum is an exact National Archives reproduction of the 1873 brick train station that was once the "grand dame" at the Grand Trunk Railway terminus and the pattern for many later stations. Located on the museum grounds is Collingwood's honour wall, commemorating those who served for Canada during the wars.

William Watts Boathouse


Heritage Way, Collingwood Harbour
Year Built: circa 1870
Open Saturday October 4th and Sunday October 5th, 10am - 4pm

Watt's Boathouse is one of Collingwood's last physical links to the town's shipbuilding history. Built circa 1870 this building was one of three boathouses used by William Watts and his descendants for more than 135 years to build boats, particularly their famous small sailboats known as "Collingwood Skiffs." The Collingwood Dragon Boat and Canoe Club invite you to explore this fascinating building at its new location on Heritage Drive on the Collingwood Harbour.

Bruce Trail and Scenic Caves Overlook

Enjoy the captivating panoramic views of Georgian Bay and Collingwood from the Scenic Caves Overlook on the Niagara Escarpment, a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve. The vivid fall colours of the old-growth forest will surround you as you drive (or bike), as you walk the Bruce Trail.

Thurso House Bed & Breakfast

Designed in the Romanesque Revival style, Thurso House boasts attractive pink hued stone and classical design details including porch columns and a swag and garland motif. The beautifully restored interior of this historic home, now operating as a bed and breakfast, will be open to visitors.

Temple Building


126 Hurontario Street, Collingwood
Year Built: 1890, rebuilt 2001
Open Saturday October 4th and Sunday October 5th, 10am - 4pm

Designed in the Renaissance Revival tradition by Thomas Kieswitter for the Independent Order of Oddfellowes and the Masonic Fraternity, the original Temple (was home to both lodges as well as private businesses. Sadly, this heritage building) was destroyed by fire in 2000. Rebuilt in 2001, the new building retains many of the original architectural features and continues to serve as a landmark for Collingwood.

Maple Leaf Hall


85 Hurontario Street, 2nd Floor, Collingwood

Open Saturday October 4th and Sunday October 5th, 10am - 4pm

Built in 1886, Maple Leaf Hall was a popular dance and meeting place for various groups including the Loyal Orange Lodge, the Kiltie Band, and the ship workers uniion. Restored in 2005, the Hall is now home to the Fishbowl Art Studio and the Bay School of Art. Both studios will be open for visitors.

Beild House Country Inn & Spa

Year Built: 1909-1912
Architect: Eden Smith

"The Beild," a Scottish world for "shelter" was originally built for Collingwood resident Dr. Joseph Arthur. This charming English Cottage style building exhibits a steeply pitched roof, tall chimneys and rows of casement windows. Now a Country Inn and Spa, the Beild House continues to provide shelter to visitors.

Eddie Bush Memorial Arena

The Eddie Bush Memorial Arena continues to be an important focal point of Historic Downtown Collingwood. History is captured in photographs in the Collingwood Sports Hall of Fame, located upstairs in the arena. Collingwood has a rich hockey history with memories of many championship teams detailed in the Hall of Fame room. The arena operates year-round, hosting many summer hockey camps and tournaments.

Joseph Lawrence House Bed and Breakfast

Year built: circa 1860

This beautiful building was the home to Joseph Lawrence, one of Collingwood's first settlers. The facade of this intriguing house is designed in the Italianate architectural style popular in the 1880's. However, the decorative brickwork partially hides a simpler two-story frame house, built circa 1860. Now operating as a bed and breakfast, you are invited to explore this beautifully renovated building and learn more about its interesting history.

Collingwood Town Hall

Open Saturday October 4th and Sunday October 5th, 10am - 4pm

The Town Hall - built in an era of optimism in 1891 with Duntroon sandstone arches - housed the council room, courthouse, Grand Opera House and even a few stores. The newest technology of the time was built into the structure, including: steam heat, electricity, and telephones. Beautifully renovated in the 1980's, the Collingwood Town Hall awaits your inspection.
