Take time to visit the
Joseph Lawrence House.

The Joseph Lawrence House in Collingwood was the home of one of Collingwood's First settlers. In fact, Joseph Lawrence is reputed to be the first settler in the town proper. The facade of this intriguing house is designed in the Italianate architectural style popular in the 1880's. However, the decorative brickwork partially hides a simpler two-storey frame house, built circa 1860. Now operating as a bed and breakfast, you are invited to explore this beautifully renovated building and learn more about its interesting history.
