Thurso House Bed & Breakfast is situated in the heart of Collingwood's Historic Downtown District. The home was constructed in 1902, in the Romanesque Revival Style by Collingwood Architect Philip C. Palin for Dr. Donald McKay. At the time, the $15,000.00 construction price was high as most substantial homes could be built for $2,000.00 or less. The home remained in the McKay family intil 1987 when it was converted to a restaurant. It is now a Bed & Breakfast.
