We Thank Our 2008 Sponsors For Their Tremendous Support

Doors Open Collingwood, Saturday and Sunday October 4th and 5th, 2008, will celebrate Collingwood's architecturally significant buildings and heritage waterfront. Featured sites for 2008 include All Saints Anglican Church and Rectory, constructed in 1858, The Joseph Lawrence House Bed and Breakfast, constructed in 1860, the William Watts Boathouse, constructed in 1870 and recently moved to Heritage Way close to the Collingwood Terminals, The Collingwood Museum, Collingwood Town Hall, Beild House Country Inn and Spa, Thurso House Bed and Breakfast and Maple Leaf Hall, the elegantly restored space above Clerkson's on Hurontario Street. In addition, popular activities such as guided walking tours of the downtown heritage district and natural heritage sites, entertainment and the Bell Canada exhibit are back in 2008.

Doors Open Ontario is celebrating its 6th season, with events taking place in communities across Ontario. "Doors Open Ontario has become a cultural phenomenon," said the Honourable Lincoln M. Alexander, Chairman of the Ontario Heritage Foundation. "It is a great educational experience for residents of the communities involved, as well as a great tourism draw that boosts local economies and builds civic pride." You're invited to come to the Town of Collingwood, Ontario, to discover our heritage treasures - and it's free! We're located on the sparkling waters of Georgian Bay with the Niagara Escarpment as our backdrop. Collingwood is just 5 minutes away from Blue Mountain and the new Intrawest Village.
